A few Thoughts

I woke up this morning and realized that it is our last day of vacation. Today we will hit the Pacific Ocean. Tomorrow, for the first time, the digital compass on the dashboard will no longer read W but, instead, NE. Tomorrow we won't be on vacation anymore, just on our way "home." Don't get me wrong, it will still be exciting and we will still be on adventure, but it comes with a big ball of reality hitting as well! This Pacific Standard Time is now my time zone. The pacific is now my ocean. The northwest is now my region. I was glad to get an email from two of my former students today with pictures from our piano recital. It was also great to have two new comments to read. It took away some of my nerves and reminded me that you're all still there! Ok, enough reflection, off through Oregon. Let's see this other ocean already! Have a nice day!

  1. Anna,
I just read through your whole blog. Mom (Aunt Winnie) gave me the link. It was wonderful, I loved reading it and seeing the pictures. I hope you will keep your blog up as you get settled and start to explore your new home. I see you have a friend named Holly, also! Not the most common name.
    Your cousin once removed, Holly

  2. Hi Holly! Great to hear from you and I'm glad you've enjoyed the blog. I will try to keep it going for a little while at least because I really enjoy it. I imagine that it will probably fade out in the long run much like most of the journals I've ever started! Thanks for the post, nice to hear from you! :o)

  3. The expansive nature of your road trip and the whole range of your experiences (breathtaking on down) seem to me to be in sync with the big change that you and Rich are undergoing. Somehow getting in a plane and coming out on the other end wouldn't possibly be adequate. This big shift in your lives requires a trip of this scale, and I believe your future will be the richer for having stepped into the unknown for a moment. The Hites of Sunderland send lots of love and wishes for safe and rewarding travel. We miss you!!!!
